Dipti Itchhaporia, MD, FACC, FESC is the Robert and Georgia Roth Chair of Cardiac Excellence and the medical director of disease management for Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute, in Newport Beach, California and Assistant Clinical Professor at University of California, Irvine. She most recently served on the Board of Trustees for the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and was past Secretary and Chair of the Board of Governors for the ACC. She is also the Past President of the California state chapter of the ACC. She is presently the chair of the ACC’s nationwide Journal Club and is also on the editorial board for ACC’s extended learning (ACCEL) as well as the magazine Cardiology Today. Additionally, she is a member of the ACC’s Governance committee the Science and Quality committee, ACC 19 planning committee, ACC Middle East conference planning committee and co-chairs the Practice Administrators Workgroup. In the state of California, Dr Itchhaporia serves on the physician Advisory Group of the California Healthcare Performance Imitative that oversees physician quality report cards and is a member of the state’s oversight committee for elective PCI without surgical oversight program. She chairs an Annual Cardiovascular Update Meeting held in Newport Beach, CA. - this year’s meeting marks the 9th Annual meeting. In her home institutions, she is on the Executive committee of the Jeffrey Carlton Heart and Vascular Institute, on the Board of Directors, Orange County Cardiovascular MSO, LLC. and the Clinical Excellence Committee. Dr Itchhaporia has held many other leadership positions including being on the board of the Western Affiliates Board of the American Heart Association (AHA) and was the past president of the Orange County Chapter of the AHA. She has also served on the National AHA’s Professional Educational Committee.
