My Short Biography:
Dr. Gan-Xin Yan is a board-certified clinical cardiologist and electrophysiologist in USA, Professor of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Professor at Lankenau Institute for Medical Research.
Dr. Yan is the pioneer who created the cardiac wedge preparation that has been used in universities, research institutes and pharmaceutical industries over the world. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed scientific research papers in basic and clinical cardiology and electrophysiology that have been widely cited (Google citations>15,000). In January of 1996, he, with Dr. Antzelevitch, firstly named the Brugada syndrome. He is also the first person who proposed J wave syndromes in 2004 and the Tp-e/QT as an arrhythmic index for polymorphic VT and VF. He is currently on the Editorial Boards of Heart Rhythm, Cardiology and Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology. He is the editor or co-editors of the textbooks of “Management of Cardiac Arrhythmias, 2nd edition” (2012), “J Wave syndromes (2016), Iatrogenecity (2018). He is currently working as the editor on the textbook of “Management of Cardiac Arrhythmias, 3rd edition”. In 2015，he served as co-chair of the first J-Wave Syndromes Expert Consensus Conference, held in Shanghai, China.
